Wet artifacts! That’s much worse than soaking sleeping bags, or even dripping books. Best of luck with that!

We had a great time at the museum, and plan to take a little longer next time. Two hours gave us a quick look, but we prefer to take our time. So we’ll be back!

I’m glad you came to enjoy the Museum.

Sorry to read about the flooded basement. If it makes you feel any better, we occassionally have to worry about water intruding into our basement and damaging our artifacts.

And the mess is almost all cleaned up. Now it’s just waiting on the sleeping bags, quilts etc to dry, and sorting through the last couple boxes. Woohoo!

Welcome back! Nothing is worse than coming home to a flooded house. We’ve done that a few times. Who wants to clean up that kind of a mess when you’ve got unpacking and re-organizing to do anyway? I hope it’s okay I know about your super secret identity and stalk your blog occasionally.

Yeah, this time it was the real deal, though. It swept through the door (we’re guessing Sunday night) and soaked most of the basement, all the way to the crawl space.

Guess this is a very broad hint that we should get all the stuff out of boxes on anything in the basement…high and dry?

In the meantime…we’re contemplating what would be needed to put an end to the frequent basement baths.

Yeah, we saw it. And, it was…okay. The individual pieces were all good–lots of funny bits, excellent characterization, a plot arc that could put many a published novel to shame, and the kind of themes that every mother wants her to daughter to heed–but the sum of the parts was less than their potential.

Not sure why that was. Maybe if I did, I’d be making millions turning nearly-there novels into steller sellers.
