Okay, see what you think:
For my part, I have to admit the commercial’s funny, and it probably works as a commercial because I’m more likely to notice Mountain Dew (though I still won’t buy it) in the store.
I know some ferret owners are concerned that it gives ferrets a bad rap, but I’m going to let that concern go. If they’d given the ferret a giant set of drooling jaws to shred the girl’s leg, then I could see their concern. But given that the little guy’s using a chainsaw the underlying implication is that he can’t be all that dangerous on his own.
After all, I don’t doubt that humans are more likely to be attacked by a dog than a grizzly, too. If you had a $$$ millionaire mansion, which would you use to protect your estate, an attack dog, or an attack ferret?
