A Twist of Perspective

A month or two ago I took a quick look online to see what prices I could find for an upcoming trip, and choked.  Tickets I used to get in the $200 dollar range were upwards of $400 with less than ideal departure times.

Since we didn’t know exactly when we’d be flying I set the search aside.  If I watched and waited I’d be sure to get a better deal . . . right?

Last night with the trip staring me in the face I buckled down to the search once again.  After several intensive hours I located tickets for just above the price I had found in my early search, at times that were worse but still workable, but this time I welcomed them with relief and grattitude.

After all, they’re a vast improvement on the the $500 plus prices with 2 stops and an overnight layover I was first shown last night.

Funny thing, perspective.
